STYLE & DESIGN create an out-of-the-box event… Octuri / Futuristic Aircraft: the exhibition.

 

 

GIFAS, the French aerospace industries association, give STYLE & DESIGN access to the Paris air show press centre for the exhibition of its partner and designer OCTURI ‘s work. Discover from 17 to 23 June at Le Bourget an exhibition offering an innovative point of view of futuristic aircraft.

 

STYLE & DESIGN is a member of GIFAS since January 2012, a member of the competitiveness cluster AsTech dedicated to aeronautics and space since March 2013 and a major french actor of industrial design in multidisciplinary fields such as aerospace, automotive, entertainment… In order to promote innovation and the creation of new design concepts and technology, the company create an out-of-the-box event. Under the pseudonym Octuri Laurent Barrou offers personal projects of futuristic aircraft, in order to avoid confusion with his work as a cabin designer at Airbus. Octuri conducts global projects alone, which is impossible in a professional setting. The designer does not meet engineering constraints. His creation are not planned to be industrialized. The purpose of his approach is to generate ideas and stimulate reflection.

About Octuri

Laurent Barrou offers personal projects futuristic aircraft. He presents his projects un­der the pseudonym Octuri in order to avoid confusion with his work as a designer at Airbus cabin.

Since the launch of its website, Octuri had 130 publications around the world, the most prestigious being a double pages in « The Time Magazine». He also exhibited at the Museum of Bourget and at the Cite de l’Espace.

At Airbus, Laurent Barrou is responsible for carrying out the definition the cabin ma­terials entails creating or selecting the decoration, the fabric, the surface treatment and the floor-covering. He works in relationship with the customers by integrating industrial constraints.

In the past, he has also been involved in industrial design projects on the A380, A350, A330 & A320 («monuments», «lining», seat, cockpit, furniture, etc. ..)
